We recently collaborated on a Keynote talk at the @aia_montana annual design conference in Helena. We had the honor of co-presenting with Jeremy Schoenfeld, @lmnarchitects . Jeremy gave excellent descriptions of @seattleconventioncenter as well as a large office campus, both of which we worked on in design and construction, and we presented the fire and life safety design considerations of those projects as well. Ultimate Design Flexibility and Building Code Approved. This is a UL10B, 90-minute rated, hose stream tested fire curtain/shutter. Because it is 90 minute rated, it works in a two hour firewall. These are being installed on an upper floor of an existing building for “a large sportswear manufacturer in Beaverton Oregon.” They are 20 feet wide! It would be impossible to install a coiling steel fire door this large on the upper floor of a building, without removing windows. This product comes with the curtain folded, and the barrel can be ordered in sections so the whole thing can easily be taken up an elevator. @mckeondoor
